but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks
as if they were
great and noble."

Genius lies in the details. Just as small gears move or stall large mechanisms, so the execution of great ideas and great ideals occurs only with care and attention to the small items that bring continuity and fluency. Readily available supplies, clearly laid out duties and roles, unified purpose, general and emergency protocols, extra-curricular and transportation arrangements, these are gears to calibrate for a smoother experience homeschooling. The more efficient the process, the more free time at the end of the day.
Maintaining momentum, keeping things rolling, it has a lot to do with minimizing obstacles and establishing patterns for dealing with the unexpected or unavoidable. A little preparation goes a long way, especially in the emotional department. Establishing homeschool as a team effort between parent and child expands ownership of the details and achievements for all. The many little things we do really do matter when logistics are aligned to reflect or support core principles and facilitate the grand strategies.
Across the board, through and through, start to finish, the application of concepts and the magic of their fruition are neatly tucked in the step by step performance of and belief in the particulars… that are usually not particularly dramatic. That means everyone is capable of greatness, step by step.
Stylize an environment and system conducive to academic pursuits, as well as your family dynamics.

"Leaders win through logistics. Vision, sure.
Strategy, yes.
But when you go to war, you need to have both toilet paper and bullets in the right place at the right time. In other words, you must win through superior logistics."
-Tom Peters
